Rejoicing in Our Shared Spirit Salma Arastu, a Berkeley based artist and a native of Rajasthan, India, has been creating and exhibiting her paintings internationally since graduating with a master’s degree in Fine Arts from MS University, Baroda, India. Her art form and techniques are greatly inter-woven with Arabic Calligraphy, Miniature Arts and Folk patterns, and major influences through her travels. In her artwork, she finds the many ways in which all life forms connect and how we can all be part of a more humane world. |

Julie Cohn is recognized as an innovator with the watercolor medium. Praised for her powerful and energetic expression of watercolors, her paintings have been featured in many museums nationwide. A teacher at the College of Marin for 24 years, and juror of many art exhibits in California, Julie continues to explore the versatility and natural properties of watercolor, finding countless ways to create with its malleable properties. Exalting Nature's Beauty
Usha Shukla was born and brought up in New Delhi, India. From early childhood, she was fascinated by the outdoors. The vibrant colors of the Indian countryside left a strong impression on her. After a graduate degree in English Literature, she went on to get a diploma in Fashion Design. Her work is collected by several local art collectors. She won the 2016-17 Clyde & Co Art Award for Emerging Artists, San Francisco. She has participated in several juried group and solo shows on the West Coast and has won many awards. She opens our eyes to the delicate and striking details of nature. |
